Skilled Temporary Graduate Visa

    The Skilled Graduate Visa under the Subclass 485 of Australian Immigration law is issued to international students who have completed their study and seeks to live, work and study temporarily anywhere in Australia.

  • The Skilled Graduate Visa has two parts such as the Graduate Work and the Post-Study Work.
  • Some of major criteria for eligibility in this category of Visa are one must have studied for at least two academic years; the completion of course shouldn’t be more than 5 months; the applicant must not be older than 50 years; the applicant must have skills and qualifications in line with the Australian standard for an occupation on the relevant skilled occupation list or have obtained an eligible qualification at a degree or postgraduate degree level; the applicant must have an IELTS or equivalent score of 6 average with a minimum of 5 in each component; and the applicant should have health and character certificates; among others. A Student Visa applicant can also include family members in his/her Visa. A Visa in this category is typically issued for 1.5-4 years.
